Jeanne's Bone Marrow Transplant

This blog provides news about Jeanne's bone marrow transplant and healing to her family, friends and colleagues.

It appears that Jeanne's pneumonia had been identified (CMV) and her medical team is actively working to treat that virus and to support the rest of her body while she fights off the infection. She remained stable today, and rotated between breathing on her own and using the assistance of a BiPap machine.

She also ate some today, and got a bunch of calories from a nutrious (but maybe not delicious) milkshake. She spent some time sitting up in a chair as well. It could be two weeks before she fights this off, but she has been showing a fighting spirit and said "I can beat this". She still gets tired and winded very quickly and does not want visitors dropping by. More soon...

Hi Jeanne, I just learned we could send comments. Jody and I are thinking of you constantly. How am I supposed to take advantage of your editorial skills with you in the hospital? I continue to be in the city every day and anxiously await word that you are up to visitors. Todd

Jody here - went to yoga tonight and found out M was hospitalized twice with pneumonia and he is in Equador now...keep that in mind.

Love you.

Hi Jeanne:
I was out East last week, so missed your getting the virus and going to the hospital.
Our block is rooting for you, sending you energy for health and strength (Mindy and Bobby, Madeleine and I).
Hope your appetite returns soon, I'm waiting to bake another pie!
Love, Daniela.

Hi Jeanne!
John and I got back from California and heard from Josh that you were back in the hospital. I have faith
y that your fighting spirit will get through this also.
I talked to Carol Cruikshank and she sends her healing thoughts, as do Marnin and Joel (and John of course). A bit of good news: there'll be a new robbins member come Thanksgiving!
Love you alot, Jeanne. I'm looking forward to being inyour presence again. Love, renee
