Solidarity Haircuts

Jeanne is feeling a little better each day. This afternoon she went for a walk in the sun with Josina, and her appetite is starting to return. Yesterday she had her first visit in the BMT clinic for outpatients, and her blood levels are higher than they have been in years! Jeanne again wants to express thanks for all the support people have shown.

Jeanne Returns Home

Jeanne was released from the hospital yesterday, and is enjoying being at home. She is still quite tired, and her bone marrow is actively producing new cells. She still significantly have a reduced immune system, and she has many months of recovery still to go. Jeanne asks that friends call before coming over, and thanks everyone for all their support so far.

Day +13, Engraftment

Jeanne's new stem cells have engrafted into her bone marrow and have started producing cells. Her counts have climbed pretty dramatically, and the production in her marrow has cause a lot of bone pain. She is very tired, and in preperation for her being allowed to come home they have discontinued many of her IV medications. She also rode on the exersize bike for a little while this evening.
